Caring for your Warmbat

How to keep your slippers looking their best

Your favourite Warmbat slippers become more and more comfortable the more you wear them. With a little extra care, you can ensure they retain their soft feel, attractive appearance and comfort for longer. From removing a small stain to freshening up the sheepskin: with the right care, you’ll give your Warmbat the love it deserves.

How do you look after your suede slippers?

To ensure you can enjoy your suede slippers for as long as possible, it’s important to protect and look after them properly. Suede slippers deserve the same care as suede boots for outdoor wear, as the material reacts to moisture and dirt in the same way.

Protect your slippers before use

Before you start wearing your slippers, we recommend spraying them with a protective spray to ward off moisture and dirt. This spray forms a thin layer over the suede, making it less likely for splashes to soak into the material. Think of drops by the sink or in the bathroom – these can have the same effect as rain outside.

What to do about water stains?

Have your slippers got wet from water alone? In that case, the suede will usually dry out on its own. Once dry, gently brush the suede with a suede brush to restore its original texture. Then apply a protective spray again to strengthen the material and prevent new splashes from soaking into the suede.

Drying advice for our products

Never dry our products on a radiator. This can cause soles to warp or come away, and may leave stains or rings on the suede. Stuff the slippers with newspaper and leave them to dry slowly at room temperature. Then brush them gently for the best result.

Regular care extends the lifespan

The more often you wear the slippers, the faster the protective layer wears away. So, wipe them down with a dry cloth every now and then to remove dust and dirt. Then apply another layer of spray. With this simple maintenance, your slippers will stay looking their best for longer and you’ll enjoy them for years to come.
